TO: Mountaineer Parents
I thought it might be a good idea to send you the notice that
recently went out to students from the Office of Financial Aid. They
are beginning the awarding process for Fall, 2007 so it is time to
get those FAFSA’s in!
“Are you in the right line?” The race for free money for education
began January 1, 2007. Now is the time to start applying for
financial aid.

Please
complete the FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA application on the Web
for 2007-2008 as soon as possible by going to
www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you’ve
misplaced your PIN (electronic signature with the Department
of Education) you can request a new one be sent to you at
www.pin.ed.gov.

The
Office of Financial Aid has begun
processing award letters for the 2007-2008 academic year. Completing
the FAFSA now will insure that you will be considered for the
maximum amount of financial assistance available.
Remember:
Respond to requests for additional information as soon as you
receive them.
Keep in mind that your student’s eligibility for financial aid is
contingent upon meeting Satisfactory Academic Standards and renewal
award criteria. You can view this information online:
http://www.schreiner.edu/financial_aid/index.html
or contact the Office of Financial Aid for additional
assistance: 800-343-4919.
Spring Break is just around the corner. The residence halls will
close Friday, March 9 at 5:00 p.m. and re-open at noon on Sunday,
March 18. The Pecan Grove Apartments will remain open throughout the
Break.
Best wishes,
