Qualifications
- Minimum 2.25 cumulative GPA
- At least 30 credit hours earned
by May 2008
- Good disciplinary standing
- Own transportation
Application Process
- Must upload resume onto
Jobs4Mountainers & provide a hard copy with application
- Two faculty, staff, or
employer references (must submit letters of recommendation)
Participants will fulfill the
following requirements
- Attend a one-hour orientation
session prior to beginning the program
- Submit a professional resume
- Complete the CIP Learning
Contract
- Volunteer a total of 200 hours
(approximately 20 hours per week for ten weeks) in an approved
nonprofit organization in the Kerrville and surrounding areas
- Submit bi-weekly time sheets
- Write a short (3-page) paper
about their internship experience
- Write thank-you letters to
donors and intern supervisor
Upon successful completion of
the internship, participants will receive the following
- Free rent (double occupancy)
in Pecan Grove for the duration of the program (10 weeks)
- $1200 tuition grant for the
Fall term
- Certificate of completion
