Mountaineer Club Sports


Schreiner University’s Mountaineer Club Sports program is a student-driven organization satisfying the needs not met by recreational intramural leagues or intercollegiate athletic programs of the university. The current club sports include the Schreiner Shooting Sport Society and the Schreiner Archery Team.
Mission Statement

The Mission of Mountaineer Club Sports is to provide students the opportunity to learn, practice and compete for fun and/or at various competitive levels while developing organizational and leadership skills of their chosen sport.  

Paintball Club
To encourage participation in the sport of paintball and to provide competitive opportunities. The paintball club plays at Adrenaline Rush Paintball right outside of Kerrville.

Schreiner Shooting Sports Society (S4)
To provide students with an interest in shooting sports and the opportunity to practice and compete as a team.... more info

Archery Club
Utilizing the Schreiner campus, emphasizing proper technique and the development of archery skills in order to gain the necessary tools  to becoming a competitive archer.

This hiking club hosts night adventure trips on campus and the surrounding hill country.

Schreiner Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee Faction (S.C.U.F.F.)
S.C.U.F.F. is a dedicated group that competes around the Schreiner campus at several different field locations. They even travel outside of Schreiner to play other local universities.

Schreiner Powerlifting
The powerlifting club uses the Hot Box, the adjacent facility to the Mountaineer Fitness Center and sport court for it's orgranized activities. The powerlifting team has a group of instructors with past competiion experience and the knowledge necessary to educated and motivate beginners to veterans.
